The Los Angeles Lakers have been extremely active in the offseason. They've literally revamped their roster ahead of the 2021-22 campaign with the hopes of reclaiming the NBA title. LA has a few more roster spots available right now, and it looks like they've added a couple of surprise candidates to their growing list of potential recruits.

According to NBA insider Marc Stein, JaKarr Sampson and Tim Frazier are two players that the Lakers are looking at to fill out their final roster spots:

Forward JaKarr Sampson, who spent the past two seasons in Indiana, and veteran guard Tim Frazier are two more free-agent names that have emerged as candidates for the two roster spots that the Lakers plan to fill.

Clearly, these are not the biggest names in free agency right now. However, there's also no denying that the Lakers' current roster still has some holes that will need to be filled before the new season tips off. Players like Sampson and Frazier may not have as much draw as the likes of Russell Westbrook or Carmelo Anthony, but they could prove to be the pieces LA needs to round out its roster.

JaKarr Sampson, a 6-foot-7 forward, spent last season with the Indiana Pacers. Tim Frazier, on the other hand, is a veteran point guard that has been around the league quite a bit. The PG spot appears to be a priority for the Lakers right now, and Frazier could emerge as a third (or even fourth) string option for coach Frank Vogel.

Aside from Sampson and Frazier, there have been a few other players that have been linked to the Lakers. Isaiah Thomas is the biggest name that has been rumored to be a potential addition for LA, so it is clear at this point that the Lakers are keeping their options wide open.
