Los Anglees Lakers superstar LeBron James is working hard to prepare his body for the coming season. In fact, he worked so hard during his Monday morning workout routine that “smoke” began to emanate from his body.

As he often is, James was awake in the wee hours of the morning to begin his workout routine. Following his session, the three-time champion decided to touch base with his followers on social media. That's when he noticed the “smoke,” which was actually steam, rising from his midsection:

James, now 34 years of age, has long been known for his strict workout routines and healthy dietary options. It's a mantra that seems to have paid off in a big way for the Akron, Ohio native, as he has become one of the greatest basketball players of all time, and he's showing no signs of regression.

Last season, James missed roughly a month of action due to a groin injury. Unfortunately, the Lakers went 6-11 and fell to ninth in the Western Conference standings while he was on the sidelines. He returned to action in late January, but Los Angeles (37-45 overall record for the 2018-19 campaign) was unable to get back into the postseason hunt.

In 55 appearances with the Lakers last season (all starts), James racked up averages of 27.4 points on 51.0 percent shooting from the field (33.9 percent from beyond the arc), 8.5 rebounds, 8.3 assists and 1.3 steals in 35.2 minutes per outing.
