Before the Los Angeles Lakers' first scrimmage game against the Dallas Mavericks on Thursday, LeBron James, Anthony Davis and Dwight Howard brought back their pregame football routine.
The Lakers were doing this before games all season prior to Utah Jazz center Rudy Gobert's positive COVID-19 test forced the NBA to suspend play in March. It's good to see the guys having fun with each other again.
Once the 2020 playoffs start, the Lakers will be one of the favorites to win the title with LeBron and Davis leading the way. Los Angeles has the best record in the Western Conference standings. They are 5.5 games ahead of the Los Angeles Clippers.
Before the season was suspended, LeBron was averaging 25.7 points, 7.9 rebounds and 10.6 assists for the Lakers. Davis, meanwhile, was putting up 26.7 points, 9.4 boards and 3.1 assists.
