Indiana Pacers swingman Lance Stephenson announced he will go back to wearing the No. 1 jersey he donned in the past with the organization.

After a short stint wearing No. 6 upon his return to the team late in the season, teammate Kevin Seraphin was kind enough to surrender the jersey number to his friend — deed he shared with his fans on Instagram.

Stephenson wore No. 6 during his first two years as a pro, then changed to No. 1 in July, 2012, which he also announced over Twitter.

Seraphin was waiting for Stephenson to say something about his old number, which he eventually did.

“I told him I was waiting for him to bring it up,” Seraphin said of the dynamic wing making an offer, per Vigilant Sports. “We’ll see how much money he’s willing to put on the table.”

When asked if the two will come to an agreement, Seraphin, who will wear No. 8 from now on, was plenty confident.

“Hell yeah,” he said.

It’s still unknown just how hefty a compensation the French international will receive for the iconic number, as he is currently in Greece during the offseason.
