LaVar Ball is back at it again. Now he takes another shot at Michael Jordan and his ability to sell his signature shoes.

The enigmatic CEO of Big Baller Brand recently appeared in the latest episode of FS1's Undisputed, where he answered questions from the show's hosts about his son's first signature shoes under their own brand.

He defended the $495 retail price they decided to put on it, as well as claimed they already sold 495 pairs of them. However, what caught the attention of many was when he took a shot at Jordan, who is not only widely considered the greatest player of all time, but also the man responsible for generating billions of dollars in revenue for Nike, with his own Jordan Brand. Jordan basically built the empire where “sneakerheads” dwell today. But Ball apparently thinks His Airness cannot sell a shoe with the same price as the ZO2's for one simple reason.

“Because he ain’t Lonzo Ball. That’s why.”

Ball has made other bold claims and comments against some of the game's legends, and his latest one can be considered right up there with some of the most infamous ones he's made. Until this day, the Jordan Brand is one of the leading sports shoes and apparel manufacturer in the world. Jordan's signature shoes, are even being sold in the aftermarket for thousand of dollars, depending on it's rarity and condition.

While the sales of the ZO2 is still far from the figures Nike, Adidas, Jordan Brand and Under Armour have sold in their recent releases, Ball hopes it will pick up once his son gets drafted by an NBA team this June. Should the public remain uninterested in purchasing them, it can be expected that he will receive more criticism and trolling on social media for it, as many think the price of the sneakers are way too high, especially for a player who has yet to play a single game in the NBA.
