LaVar Ball is back at it again, promoting his sons' basketball skills and their capacity to reach worldwide fame. His recent quip involves Cleveland Cavaliers star LeBron James, saying that his sons will reach billionaire stats even before James does.

As reported by Andrew Joseph of For The Win, Ball was talking to a reporter about James' worth, which he said is worth $400 million. He then mentioned James' lifetime deal with Nike, then compared it to his sons' shoes:

“Check this out. This is nothing. Melo’s shoes are $400. Lonzo’s shoes are $500. If they sell a million shoes within a year or two, I’m giving them all the money. So that’s $4-500 million they’re gonna make right there … Lonzo, Gelo and Melo are going to be the first ball players to be billionaires playing ball.”

He pointed out that China is a big market for them. Apart from shoes, Big Baller Brand added their own brand of mineral water.

Commenting on their product, Ball said:

“Wow, this mineral is stronger than anyone else. What player NBA advertises water? Nothing Everybody in America is somehow too proud of water companies. There are energy drinks that are advertised, but nobody even thought about water. And here we come from the Atlantic with water. Lithuania has the best water in the world! Zero nitrate! What kind of water is more transparent?”

LaVar certainly has some class A attitude and business acumen. Not only does he want the best for his sons, but he also expands his business to the extreme. Time will only tell if such a strategy will be sustainable and eventually make them the first billionaires in basketball.
