Back in May, Fortnite released a set of NBA skins with the inclusion of all 30 NBA Teams. This time around, data miners Hypex and ShiinaBR found NBA Superstar LeBron James’ data within the game files and would most likely release it on the next update as part of the Icon Series.

We are not entirely sure if LeBron’s skin will appear in Fortnite‘s battle pass as part of the Bonus Rewards and Bonus Reward Quests similar to how they introduced Neymar Jr. last season or if he’ll become a purchasable skin in the item shop. One thing is for certain, if players get their hands on the NBA Superstar’s skin, everyone will have the opportunity to earn more rewards by completing the King’s Bling Quests. According to Hypex, as players progress throughout the quests, the items will become more gold. Once you have completed all the quests, you’ll then gain access to a slider that allows you to adjust the level of visibility of the gold in each item.

It’s no surprise that arguably the greatest player of all time to ever play basketball would come to Fortnite since this isn’t the first time that Epic Games has decided to instigate an athlete into the game. Notably, LeBron James is the first-ever basketball athlete to make an appearance in Fortnite, so starting off the basketball series of skins with the King himself is a no-brainer. Not to mention that LeBron’s appearance in the game is very timely since Space Jam: A New Legacy is coming to theaters and HBO Max come July 16th, it’s definitely a perfect way to advertise the upcoming film.
