Square Enix’s Life Is Strange Remastered Collection, which was originally slated for release in September 2021, has a new release date following delays in production.

Life is Strange Remastered Collection Release Date: February 1, 2022

This remastered compilation will release on February 1, 2022, and will feature both the original BAFTA award-winning Life is Strange, which was released in 2015 to huge critical accolades and impressive sales, as well as its prequel, 2017’sBefore the Storm.

The original Life is Strange follows the story of Max Caulfield, the player-character, who has returned home to Arcadia Bay, Oregon for college only to discover that she has the ability to rewind time. The game features an impressive array of well-developed characters, specifically Chloe Price, Max’s best friend and potential romantic interest.

Chloe is such a good character, in fact, that she is the star of the second game in the series, Before the Storm, a prequel that details the events leading up to Max’s return to Arcadia Bay, including Chloe’s relationship with Rachel Amber (a character who plays a major role in the plot of the first game).

While the series is known more for its rich, engaging story and interesting characters, when it comes to gameplay, the series features walking simulator elements in which the player explores areas along with visual novel-esque conversations that can lead to various outcomes related to decisions made by the player.

The most recent game in the series, Life is Strange: True Colors, was released to critical acclaim in September 2021. Life is Strange Remastered Collection will be released on PC, Switch, PlayStation, Xbox, and Stadia.
