The last time that the Detroit Lions played a game, T.J. Hockenson was carted off due to a concussion. Now, it appears as if Hockenson was a ‘full-go‘ at practice on Thursday.

In Week 5, the Lions had their bye week, which gave more time for the rookie tight end to begin practicing again. Hockenson began practicing in a limited fashion on Wednesday but it hasn't been confirmed if he's cleared the concussion protocol yet.

The team's first-round pick sustained the concussion after he attempted to hurdle Tyrann Mathieu in Week 4 against the Kansas City Chiefs. As he was jumping over the Pro-Bowl safety, Hockenson awkwardly landed on his head and shoulder.

Nevertheless, it's positive seeing him have at least a limited workload in practice this week. With him practicing in any fashion, it means that Hockenson is trending in the right direction.

It will be worth monitoring the progress for the first-year tight end as the weekend approaches. For him to clear the concussion protocol, he's going to have to display that he no longer has any lingering symptoms of a concussion.

Prior to his injury, Hockenson caught 11 passes for 166 yards and two touchdowns for the Lions. However, six of those passes for 131 yards and a score came in Week 1 against the Arizona Cardinals.

Coming out of the bye week, Detroit is 2-1-1 and is currently second place in the NFC North.

With that in mind, the Lions could use Hockenson being on the field when they travel to take on the Green Bay Packers on Monday Night Football in Week 6.
