Cristiano Ronaldo is officially on his way back to Manchester United and the Premier League is absolutely buzzing. At 36-years-old, there are some doubts that he can make a huge impact, but considering his track record across the last few seasons at Juventus, Ronaldo is still as clinical as ever.

Meanwhile, Liverpool legend and pundit Jamie Carragher gave his honest opinion on Cristiano Ronaldo reuniting with the Red Devils. As far as he's concerned, it's going to be an immediate hit. Via Sky Sports:

“I think it is brilliant for the Premier League, not just Man Utd, he is an absolute superstar and he was when he was here initially.

“When he went to Real Madrid, he almost went on to another level then and he’s now talked about as one of the greatest players of all time, and rightly so.

“So to have him in the Premier League is huge for us all, everyone is excited about it, but if he’s the difference to take United to that title remains to be seen.

“Forget his age and name, we are talking about the guy who was top goalscorer in Serie A last season, so that is who United are signing, so it should make a big difference to them. And they’ve added other players in other areas as well, so it is about time United were fighting towards bringing that title back to Old Trafford.”

As Carragher pointed out, it's unknown if Cristiano Ronaldo will be the missing piece to the puzzle that can take Man United to a Premier League title. But, as the Portuguese international pointed out in his recent social media post on Tuesday, he's extremely poised to return home and continue his legacy at the club where he first became a superstar.

As a whole, Cristiano returning to England is going to be terrific for the Red Devils and surely, the ratings of the Premier League.
