Lonzo Ball got his first dose of NBA basketball in his summer league debut, finishing with a paltry 2-of-15 shooting and drawing criticisms before NBA players both current and retired came to defend him.

Ball got his chance for redemption Saturday night against the Boston Celtics before a sold out crowd, sparking conversations of a renewed rivalry.

When the smoke cleared, the Los Angeles Lakers lost the game 86-81, but Ball didn't disappoint posting his first triple-double, scoring 11 points while adding 11 rebounds and 11 assists to his name.

The No. 2 overall pick generated a buzz on the night going coast-to-coast for a one-handed tomahawk jam that capped off his game.

There were plenty of highlights, including showing off the effects of Ball's unselfish play which inspired his teammates to make the extra pass to find the best shot.

It's not surprising that his second game played out the way it did as he is pegged to be one of the future greats in the NBA. One sure sign of it is how they handle pressure and obstacles, and the consistent theme is that they always bounce back.
