Orlando Magic star power forward Aaron Gordon went through practice Monday and could return for Tuesday's matchup with the Spurs, according to a tweet this afternoon from Josh Robbins of the Orlando Sentinel.

“Aaron Gordon went through the contact-practice phase of the NBA concussion protocol today, Frank Vogel said. There's a chance Gordon will play tomorrow night against the Spurs,” Robbins tweeted.

Gordon has missed Orlando's last two games due to a concussion, but even he admits that it is not always easy getting back to full speed when trying to return to game action.

“These are the best players in the world,” Gordon said. “If you miss a couple of days, your rhythm is going to be a little bit off. But you get it back within a day or so.”

Gordon still remains in the NBA's concussion protocol after he suffered symptoms following Orlando's bizarre and controversial 108-107 loss to the Los Angeles Lakers on March 7, but hearing news that was at least able to complete a full-contact practice with the Magic is certainly an encouraging sign.

As the leading scorer on the Magic this season, Gordon is currently averaging 18.3 points on 44.3 percent shooting from the field, 8.4 rebounds, and 2.3 assists per game in roughly 33.7 minutes of action per contest. Unfortunately for Gordon, he has been limited to only 47 games this season due to injuries.

The Magic (20-47) have lost four games in a row and will conclude a five-game road trip on Tuesday night against the Spurs. After that, Orlando will then have a seven-game homestand at Amway Center starting on Wednesday night against the Milwaukee Bucks.
