Orlando Magic big man Jonathan Isaac will be out for the next 8-10 weeks after an MRI revealed a severe sprain and bone contusion to his left knee.

It appears Isaac could miss the rest of the regular season for the Magic, but the youngster is keeping his faith strong:

“I think I’m a warrior,” Isaac said, via The Athletic. “I’ve got to try to keep my mind right, and trusting in God’s word does that for me, knowing that He has a plan for my life and it’s not to harm to me; it’s to give me a future.

“So I know what type of player I’m going to be in this league, and this team knows that as well. You know, the first thing that Jeff Weltman did when he saw me yesterday was give me a hug. He wanted me to know that I’ve shown what type of player I’m going to be in this league, and this is just a bump in the road.”

Isaac is averaging 12.0 points and 6.9 rebounds on the season for the Magic. He's shooting 46.3 percent from the field, 33.0 percent from beyond the arc and 76.7 percent from the free-throw line.

The Magic are 15-19 on the season. They are in eighth place in the Eastern Conference standings entering Friday. The Magic are trying to make the playoffs for the second consecutive season, but it's going to be a difficult challenge without Isaac.
