Man City star Jack Grealish admitted that he has struggled to get goals and assists in his first season with the Premier League champions. City signed Grealish just last summer for a record-breaking £100 million. However, with only 2 goals and 3 assists in 15 appearances this season, he admits he has more to give. As per Goal, Grealish said:

“I’ve got so much more to give. I’ve found it a lot more difficult than I thought I would, adapting to a different manager and team-mates. At first I thought I’d have more of the ball, get more assists and goals but it doesn’t work like that at all. I’ve had nowhere near as much of the ball as I used to get at Villa.”

The exciting forward definitely is yet to hit the heights he reached with his former club Aston Villa. Last season, he scored 6 goals and registered 12 assists in 26 Premier League appearances. Much was expected of his arrival in Manchester, and many expected his output to increase in a more dominant team.

Grealish was the go-to man at Villa, but there's no need for a go-to man at City. Pep Guardiola's side rely less on individuals and more on team performances, thus a more even distribution of goals and assists than at Villa.

Nevertheless, Jack Grealish was signed for such a high price for a reason—to deliver City the Champions League. While he hasn't had the start to the season that he expected, he will hope to have the end he dreamt of, which is to win trophies with Man City.
