Man United finally got snuck their way into the Premier League top four prior to the international break after beating Aston Villa at the death last weekend. As Ralf Rangnick continues to turn things around at Old Trafford, the club and its players are starting to feel extremely hopeful of what they could accomplish this season.

Ahead of the Champions League Round of 16 which starts in mid-February, Red Devils midfielder Bruno Fernandes dropped a bold take on Man United's aspirations.

Via ESPN FC:

The club won't have it easy in the knockout stages though as they clash with LaLiga title-holders Atletico Madrid. But, Fernandes is evidently confident in their abilities.

To be quite frank, it feels like a long shot that Man United could win Europe's most prized competition. The side has struggled a lot this term and with the likes of Manchester City, PSG, and Liverpool in top form, it's unlikely Cristiano Ronaldo and Co. can make it to the latter stages of UCL play.

As for the FA Cup though, there's definitely a chance but it's far too early to say. The first leg of the last 16 will be on February 23rd in Madrid. Man United also faces Middlesborough in the fourth round of the FA Cup on February 4th.
