Man United Legend Cristiano Ronaldo broke the deadlock in yesterday's game vs. Tottenham Hotspur, scoring a stunning volley from Bruno Fernandes' pass, triggering numerous reactions from fans and club legends.

Aside from this tweet by Rio Ferdinand, former United player Danny Webber analyzes the goal itself and marvels at the connection between the two Portuguese stars.

“It was an unbelievable goal. First and foremost the run. And for Bruno to be able to find him there. As it's dropping over your shoulder, it's not an easy technique at all.

“You've got to get it across the keeper, the keeper's in a good position, he's cut across the ball as well to make sure it curls in at the far corner. It's nothing you wouldn't expect of him but it is a very different skill for most people.”

Man United won the fixture 3-0, which included a goal from Edinson Cavani that Ronaldo assisted. Despite the scoreline, what stole the spotlight was the 36-year old's superb strike.

Lou Macari echoes everyone else's sentiments, praising his fellow Man United legend.

“It was a great ball and the hardest thing was the finish. Only Cristiano could have scored that. I'm not being disrespectful to our other players but that was typical of him. Out of nothing.”

Prior to the match, Ole Gunnar S0lskjaer faced countless criticism from Man United's 5-0 defeat against Liverpool. The Norweigan decided to utilize a 3-5-2 formation with Ronaldo and Cavani on top. Needless to say, this attacking partnership paid off with both scoring incredible goals.
