It appears that Paul Pogba has had a change of heart on his Man United future. Per The Athletic’s David Ornstein, the Frenchman is seriously considering the possibility of staying at Old Trafford after Cristiano Ronaldo’s dream debut on Saturday where he scored a brace in a 4-1 victory.

Pogba has been the subject of non-stop transfer rumors with his current deal expiring in under 12 months. He’s yet to sign an extension with the Red Devils as PSG and Real Madrid continue to show interest. But, with the arrivals of Raphael Varane, Jadon Sancho, and now Ronaldo, Pogba is starting to believe that Man United could really win trophies this season.

Of course, nothing is set in stone. United is reportedly prepared for his departure if it happened and is already working on other midfield plans. But, they’re also hopeful that he will stay put and put pen to paper on a new contract.

Pogba has hit the ground running this term for Man United, leading the top flight with an impressive seven assists in four appearances. In the Premier League opener against Leeds, the former Juventus man set up four of the side’s five goals as they annihilated Marcelo Bielsa’s squad.

The 28-year-old is fully proving his worth right now and there’s certainly a sense of optimism around the red side of Manchester that United could be a serious contender in England and Europe with Ronaldo also back at the club. He’s still scoring goals with ease and with Pogba and Bruno Fernandes also in fantastic form, the possibilities are endless for Man United right now.

It will be very interesting to see what ultimately happens with Paul Pogba’s future.
