Cristiano Ronaldo’s Manchester United co-frontman Edinson Cavani is being urged to depart Old Trafford for Argentine side Boca Juniors.

Edinson Cavani arrived at Manchester United as a free agent from PSG in the summer of 2020 and was quick to make his mark on the team.

In his maiden season with the Red Devils, Cavani already notched a total of 17 goals to his name.

With Cristiano Ronaldo on board, it is becoming more and more apparent that Cavani will have his minutes reduced at Manchester United, having shared the same position as the five-time Ballon d’Or winner.

Rumors swirled that Cavani has been unhappy with Manchester United and is open to the idea of leaving for Boca Juniors, something the Argentine club’s legend Dario Felman wants him to do right away.

“If [Edinson] Cavani's dream is to play for Boca Juniors, he should go for it because Boca is the best club in the world, as far as I'm concerned and on every level,” Felman, who won the Copa Libertadores with Boca in 1977, exclusively told TribalFootball.com. “It's the perfect age for him to go.”

For Felman, Cavani is not the type of player who joins a club for the limelight. Instead, he is banking on the Uruguayan’s thirst to win, an approach which he thinks is similar to that of Boca Juniors’.

“Boca are a very demanding club and the fans are too,” he explained. “If Cavani does go to Argentina, I know he will be going there to give his all. He won't be there to have his photograph taken with all and sundry, he is Uruguayan! He will be giving everything he has got, as always.”
