Manchester United legend Roy Keane is positive Jadon Sancho can still prove his worth despite being overshadowed by Cristiano Ronaldo.

Contrary to what was expected, Jadon Sancho failed to transcend the hype of his long-awaited Manchester United transfer move. The main reason, was Cristiano Ronaldo’s shocking return.

To date, Sancho has yet to add a single goal to his name given his playing time was limited because of Roanldo. However, for former Manchester United defender and veteran analyst Roy Keane, it’s too early to write the England winger off.

“It's certainly been a slow start for him, it's well and good doing well at [Borussia] Dortmund, but it's a different animal going to Man United, big expectations,” Keane said of Sancho via Manchester Evening News.

“Maybe overshadowed slightly with [Cristiano] Ronaldo coming in, but I'd always give the kid a chance, he's been there a few months, nice opportunity for him [against Andorra], but give him a chance,” he continued.

Like Keane, Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer alos believes Sancho’s time will come and he can soon work his magic in English football.

“Both with Raphael Varane and Cristiano [Ronaldo] coming in, that takes a little bit of pressure off a young man,” Solskjaer told Sky Sports “[But Sancho’s] 21, he's learning the game, he's learning how we train, he's learning how we play, he's learning the Premier League, but he's come in hungry to learn.”

“We knew his talent, and we signed him with the thought that we are going to have a top forward here for the next 10 or 12 years,” he added.
