Manchester United are about to wrap up one of their most disappointing seasons in club history. They've already missed out on the Champions League and can finish with 61 points at best if three points are secured on Sunday against Crystal Palace.

Like every other team, the Red Devils had their end-of-the-season awards ceremony scheduled. However, United canceled it altogether after numerous players were too embarrassed to show up.

Manchester United is clearly in shambles but on a more positive note, it can only get better from here on. Erik ten Hag is set to take over this summer as their new manager from Ajax and will be hoping to turn things around and get this club back into the top-four in the Premier League.

The ceremony was canceled the last two years due to COVID-19 as well, which means it'll be now three years without holding the event at Old Trafford. Manchester United sacked Ole Gunnar Solskjaer back in November after a dismal start, with Ralf Rangnick eventually replacing him. The German hasn't exactly enjoyed a ton of success at the helm though. He's set to move into a different role within the United board once ten Hag arrives.

Cristiano Ronaldo certainly made a difference in his first season back at the Theater Of Dreams, however, scoring 18 goals in 30 EPL appearances. He also netted six times in seven UCL appearances, saving the Red Devils on numerous occasions. Despite the criticism at times, it's hard to imagine how much worse this side would be if Ronaldo wasn't scoring goals.

Needless to say, a lot of work needs to be done in the upcoming transfer window.
