Manchester United will be looking to sign a striker in the upcoming summer window, with none other than Tottenham talisman Harry Kane on their radar. However, that will cost them a pretty penny due to how valuable he is to Spurs.

With the player's transfer fee expected to be north of $100 million, the Red Devils are planning to offer Anthony Martial in a potential deal to help offset the hefty price for Kane, per ESPN.

Martial is currently on loan at Sevilla in Spain and is expected to return to Old Trafford this summer. However, ESPN sources claim the Manchester United outcast is more interested in a permanent move to either the Serie A or La Liga when his contract expires in the coming months.

Adding Kane to a United squad would certainly be valuable, given the expected departure of Edinson Cavani and the unknown future of Cristiano Ronaldo. The 37-year-old has a year left on his deal in Manchester, but it's still unknown if he'll return. If the Red Devils miss out on Champions League football, it wouldn't be a surprise to see Ronaldo take his talents elsewhere.

Kane endured a slow start to the campaign for Tottenham, but he's since picked it up. The England international has 12 goals and five assists in 28 Premier League appearances. Before Manchester United's interest, Man City was also trying to sign Kane last summer before he ultimately stayed put in North London.
