Cristiano Ronaldo is back with Manchester United, and he scored a goal in the Red Devils' Champions League match against Young Boys on Tuesday. However, Man U suffered a stunning defeat when USMNT forward Jordan Pefok buried the game-winner in the final minute of extra time.
It was absolute chaos:

Ronaldo put Manchester United up 1-0 early in the first half, but Young Boys responded with two unanswered goals to shock the heavy favorite. A red card for Aaron Wan-Bissaka in the 35th minute certainly didn't help matters, putting the Red Devils at a disadvantage for a good chunk of the match.
Needless to say, Twitter was going wild after Manchester United suffered the stunning defeat to open up UCL group play. Here's a sampling of the reaction:

This is certainly not what Cristiano Ronaldo had in mind for the Champions League when he returned to Manchester United. While the Red Devils aren't doomed yet, losing this match as a heavy favorite isn't a great sign.
The English club is in Group F of the UCL along with Young Boys, Villarreal and Atalanta. Manchester United will try to get some redemption against Villarreal on Sept. 29. For now, though, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's club will have to stew in this shocking defeat.
