Markelle Fultz made his childhood dreams come true last night after being drafted No. 1 overall by the Philadelphia 76ers as many expected.

But with a draft full of surprises, the Washington standout wouldn't take chances when making an Instagram ad with watch-designer Tissot.

“Excited to head to (City) and join the (team name),” read his Instagram caption after posing with a couple of watches prior to the start of his draft night.

The tweet was quickly deleted, but not after several thousand fans were able to get a laugh at the blunder.

To be fair, Fultz said during his ESPN interview that he had turned off all his social media to soak in the moment — meaning he likely had his agent or manager take care of handling his Instagram account.

Can you spell fired?

While in reality, this won't have much backlash than just a few laughs — this is indeed the promotional world we live in, where watch companies outfit future stars with not just one, but two watches and are excited for them to go to the (City) (team name) once their name is called.
