More money is coming the way of Dallas Mavericks rookie, Dennis Smith Jr.

After signing a four-year rookie contract with the Mavericks, Smith appears to be not done generating profit before he even takes his first shot attempt in an NBA regular season game, as it was reported by ESPN's Jeff Goodman that the former North Carolina State Wolfpack guard is on the cusp of sealing a sweet deal with sports apparel giant, Under Armour.

If this deal ultimately becomes finalized, Smith would be the second player in this year's rookie draft class to partner with Under Armour, which also signed Phoenix Suns foward Josh Jackson back in June. Of course that's not counting Lonzo Ball's flirtations with the brand during the Summer League.

This could be interpreted as a smart ploy for Under Armour, considering that Smith is thought of as a steal after Dallas took him as the ninth overall pick of the 2017 NBA Draft. Groomed to be the be the next face of the Mavericks' franchise, Under Armour seems to be just as invested in Smith's rise as Dallas is.
