Training camp is just days away and new Dallas Mavericks center Boban Marjanovic is already getting acclimated to how things work in the Lone Star State.

The Serbian giant attended a concert by rapper Lil Nas X during the weekend and in doing so, wore a full-on cowboy outfit that's just short of a stallion — which he jokingly claims is just right around the back.

This isn't the 31-year-old's first stint in Texas, however, as he initially joined the NBA as a rookie with the San Antonio Spurs during the 2015-16 season, five years after going undrafted in 2010. From there, the 7-foot-3 behemoth went on to sign a lucrative free-agent deal with the Detroit Pistons before being traded to the Los Angeles Clippers and then shipped back to the East with the Philadelphia 76ers along with his best friend Tobias Harris.

During the offseason, Marjanovic signed a two-year, $7-million deal with the Mavs as a backup center (and situational starter) replacing Salah Mejri. Like his predecessor, “Bobi” isn't expected to play for more than 10 to 15 minutes per night given how the game has moved on to favor more compact and mobile bigs with range — skills that he direly lacks. The John Wick 3 star will see the floor in certain matchups, particularly when the opposing team employs a more traditional big man where he could use his size to score and protect the rim without worrying about guarding in space.

At any rate, Marjanovic expects to be a heavy fan favorite yet again (like with most of his stops) especially when he does endearing gestures like this one.
