At this point, it's hard to deny that Dallas Mavericks star Luka Doncic has emerged as a serious contender for this season's MVP title. He has been playing at an elite level, and there are no signs of him slowing down the rest of the way. Recently, no less than Mavs legend Dirk Nowitzki shared his thoughts on Dallas' new star.

The retired 41-year-old discussed the lighter side of Doncic, though, speaking about the Mavs' youngsters antics off the court.

“Like the other day, I was actually at a shootaround or practice and I got a little treatment, just health-wise, it’s not great,” Nowitzki narrates, via The Dallas Morning News. “So I go in every now and then, see the guys, get some treatment. And I left my phone laying somewhere. So then when I got home like an hour later or something, I go through my phone and I went to my pictures and I had, not lying, probably 150 Luka pictures. I guess that’s the culture nowadays, the selfie stuff. But he must’ve just run around for 10 minutes and took selfies with everybody and an hour later I saw my phone. So he’s definitely a funny kid, he loves having fun.”

That's a pretty hilarious story from the Mavs icon. The fact that Doncic made such an effort to pull off this prank just shows how much of a fun-loving guy he really is. He's all business on the court, though, so don't let his light-hearted nature fool you. This 20-year-old stud is an absolute killer on the basketball court.
