The Dallas Mavericks signed 2019 second-round selection Isaiah Roby to a four-year contract on Tuesday, fully guaranteeing the second year of the deal.

According to the report by Bobby Marks of ESPN, Roby will receive $1.5 million in his first year with the Mavs — the largest cap hit in a first year by a second-round pick coming out of college. The former Nebraska Cornhuskers standout was the 45th pick by the Detroit Pistons in the 2019 NBA Draft.

The total deal is worth $6.7 million over four years. Dallas has a team option in the fourth year of the deal.

Roby spent three years at Nebraska, where he averaged 11.8 points, 6.9 rebounds and 1.9 assists in 35 appearances in his junior season for the Cornhuskers. Additionally, Roby shot 45.4 percent from the floor, 33.3 percent from beyond the 3-point arc and 67.7 percent from the free throw line. He was third in the Big Ten in blocks and seventh in steals during the 2018-19 campaign.

The 21-year-old Roby impressed for the Mavs during the Las Vegas Summer League. He was all over the court during his five-game stint in the summer exhibition, putting up 8.8 points, 5.2 rebounds, 1.4 assists, 1.0 steal and 1.2 blocks per game. He also shot 42.9 percent from the field in 27.6 minutes per contest.
