Dallas Mavericks star Luka Doncic sent Mavs fans to the edge of their seats during his team's scrimmage game against the Los Angeles Lakers on Thursday.

Thankfully, the Slovenian appears to be fine after leaving the game with what was initially perceived as a potential leg injury. Doncic himself provided an update on his status, saying that there should be nothing to worry about:

There was at least some concern about Doncic's leg, as he was seen limping slightly while donning a leg sleeve:

It turns out Doncic was just stretching, according to Mavs head coach Rick Carlisle.

Doncic was still able to log 17 minutes in the Mavs' first game back after the four-month hiatus. He helped Dallas to a 108-104 victory against the Lakers, logging 14 points (on 5-of-8 shooting), one triple, five rebounds, six assists, and a steal.

Seth Curry had the hot hand for the Mavs, scoring a game-high 23 points on a pristine 6-of-6 shooting from distance. Dallas big man Boban Marjanovic also logged some quality minutes off the bench, putting up a 17-point, 13-rebound double-double.

As for the Lakers, LeBron James and Anthony Davis logged just 15 minutes each, with both guys scoring 12 points apiece.

It was obviously just a tune-up game, and this victory will have no impact whatsoever on the Mavs' record. Nonetheless, a win against one of the heavy favorites to go all the way this season is still a nice development for Dallas

Doncic and the Mavs will be back in action on Sunday when they take on the Indiana Pacers in another scrimmage match.
