What does Dallas Mavericks rookie phenom Luka Doncic do in his spare time? Play Fortnite, of course!

As Alex Kennedy states, Doncic's answer is pretty funny. You would think he is a high schooler rather than a professional athlete making millions, which is just great.

Why this video game is so popular, I'll never know, but it's hard to go somewhere without hearing of someone playing it.

As for Doncic's performance on the court this year?

The first-year wing is averaging 20.7 points, 7.2 rebounds, 5.6 assists and one steal over 32.2 minutes per game while shooting 43 percent from the floor, 34.8 percent from 3-point range and 72.2 percent from the free-throw line.

Doncic has become so renowned, as a matter of fact, that he was actually one of the leading vote-getters for the All-Star Game in some of the early returns. He ended up not making the team, and rightfully so, but something tells me there will be a whole lot of All-Star appearances in the 19-year-old's future.

The Slovenian was originally selected by the Atlanta Hawks with the third overall pick in the NBA Draft last June, but the team then proceeded to trade him to the Mavs for Trae Young.

No disrespect to Young, who may very well develop into a fine NBA player in his own right, but it seems relatively safe to say that the Mavs won that trade.

The Mavs , who also made a move for Kristaps Porzingis before the trade deadline, currently own a record of 26-31 and will play host to the Denver Nuggets on Friday night.
