Luka Doncic continues to do huge things for the Dallas Mavericks. On Sunday, the Slovenian guard tallied 44 points on top of seven boards and nine assists in a losing effort against the Portland Trail Blazers.

Despite the tough loss, Doncic can hold his head up high, as his performance made franchise history. Per Mavs PR, the third-year guard is now the team leader in most points scored by a player in consecutive games. Luka has put up a total of 90 points in his last two outings, with a 46-point career-night against the New Orleans Pelicans coupled with his latest scoring outburst against the Blazers.

Luka Doncic broke Mavs legend Mark Aguirre's record, which was posted more than three decades ago. The young scorer also joined Aguirre as the only players in Dallas franchise history to score 40 or more points in back-to-back games (via Elias Sports).

‘Luka Magic' has been in full display for the Mavs in their last five games. After being blown out at home by the Golden State Warriors earlier this February, Dallas fought back and won four-straight games thanks to their young court general. Including Sunday's loss, Doncic has tallied an average of 37.2 points per game in Dallas' last five games as the young Mavs start to get their groove back.

Now that the Mavs are finally healthy and Doncic has been in MVP-mode as of late, Dallas should be back to their winning ways in no time.
