As we all sort of expected, Dallas Mavericks star Luka Doncic says Los Angeles Lakers legend Kobe Bryant said a bad word to him in Slovenian when Doncic and the Mavs were at Staples Center taking on the Lakers.

Doncic talked to Indiana Pacers center Myles Turner and Utah Jazz shooting guard Donovan Mitchell about his interaction with Bryant during the Rising Stars Challenge:

Kobe Bryant tributes were everywhere on Friday in Chicago for the first day of All-Star weekend. It still doesn't seem real that the Lakers icon is gone.

Doncic and the rest of the players in the NBA will continue to carry on Bryant's legacy. While it will be hard to match his skill level on the court, players like Doncic and others can channel their Mamba Mentality by playing hard every night and doing whatever it takes to win once the second half of the season starts.

Bryant, his daughter Gianna and the other people who passed away in the helicopter crash will never be forgotten. The NBA is so far doing a great job of keeping all those memories on hand with the jersey patches and All-Star game jerseys which Team LeBron and Team Giannis will wear to honor Kobe and Gigi.

During his Hall of Fame career, Bryant averaged 19.3 points in the All-Star game. Doncic is playing in his first All-Star game this Sunday. This will be the first of many All-Star selections for Luka.

The Mavs, with Doncic and Kristaps Porzingis leading the way, appear on their way to getting back to the playoffs.
