A recent video in the NBA's highlight reel showcased Dallas Mavericks rookie Luka Doncic's passing and oddly leaked out the Mavs youngster's first All-Star appearance as a replacement of the recently-injured Anthony Davis.

“He ain't no ordinary rookie! The passing wizardry of Luka Doncic ahead of his first #NBAAllStar appearance on Sunday!”

The fact that he was tagged on the video with the official All-Star tag and the words “first” and “Sunday” appear there, make this all the more likely of an accidental leak.

Doncic was the third-most voted player by NBA fans in the third return of the All-Star voting (3,301,825 votes) which only counted for 50 percent of the total outcome, with 25 percent going to media members and the other 25 to the players.

The Slovenian wonder is as much of a lock to walk away with the Rookie of the Year award after accelerating the Mavs' rebuilding efforts and seeing every one of his starting teammates traded before the deadline in a massive vote of confidence from the front office.

DeAndre Jordan, Wes Matthews, Harrison Barnes, and Dennis Smith Jr. were all traded before the deadline, leaving out Doncic as the lone savior of the franchise along with the injured Kristaps Porzingis.

His averages of 20.7 points, 7.2 rebounds, and 5.6 assists per game are a clear indication that he is ready to bring his game to the greatest stage of showmanship.

Doncic would become the first rookie to make an All-Star team since Blake Griffin in 2011, a tall accomplishment for the third overall pick of the 2018 NBA Draft.
