Spencer Dinwiddie has been known to dabble in financial markets. The Dallas Mavericks combo guard has been a vocal cryptocurrency investor and is a self-proclaimed “tech guy with a jumper”.

Ahead of Mavs-Suns Game 7,  Dinwiddie was clearly well-aware of the hefty financial gain awaiting him as long as he provided enough capital to reap the benefits. And that, he did.

In Spencer Dinwiddie's contract signed with the Washington Wizards, there was a stipulation inserted for a $571,427 bonus should his team make the NBA conference finals. With the Mavs win, he cashed in easily.

Given the lopsided nature of the contest, that was probably the easiest 500k Spencer Dinwiddie ever made. But you can't say he didn't put in the effort to earn it.

Spencer Dinwiddie, the savvy financial man that he is, was likely motivated to collect the dividends of his basketball labor, pouring in a playoff career high of 30 points off the Mavs bench. He combined for 89 points in total with Luka Doncic and Jalen Brunson, just one shy of the Suns' entire score of 90.

Dinwiddie does have another bonus if they win the title, but for some reason it might not be as enticing as the pay bump he got for making the WCF.

Safe to say Mavs fans would be willing to pay his bonus out of pocket if Dallas wins it all.
