Tim Hardaway Jr. and Kristaps Porzingis have been teammates for a long time. Their relationship on the court extends to their time together with the New York Knicks, which is exactly why at this point, THJ is ready to make a bold Knicks-sized prediction on Porzingis' outlook for the Mavs this coming season.

According to Hardaway, he is confident that KP will come out with a vengeance in 2021-22 as he looks to retake his All-Star form during his time in New York:

“Being his teammate probably longer anybody on the roster, I know KP,” Hardaway Jr. said, via Grant Afseth of FanNation. “I know he's back at Latvia busting his tail right now to get back to where he was before the injury when we were with the Knicks. I know how much he loves the game, how much he works and he's going to do whatever he can to get back to that level of mentality that he had.”

Porzingis has been start-and-stop in his first two seasons in Dallas, and injuries have played a significant role in his Mavs tenure thus far. The 7-foot-3 big man suffered a career-altering ACL injury a couple of years back which forced him to sit out an entire season, and one could argue that he just hasn't looked the same since.

As Hardaway expressed in his statement, however, he is adamant that Porzingis is doing everything he can to return to top form for the Mavs. It looks like the 26-year-old is putting in the work, so all Dallas fans can hope for is that he is able to remain healthy for the majority of the upcoming campaign.
