It appears as if the Dallas Mavericks are not done rounding out their roster quite yet. According to Mike Fisher of Per DallasBasketball.com, the Mavs are offering a second round pick and guard Courtney Lee to the Memphis Grizzlies in exchange for former Golden State Warriors swingman Andre Iguodala.

If the Mavs can pull this off, Iguodala would be a very good addition to an already well-rounded team. Last year, Iggy averaged 5.7 points, 3.7 rebounds and 3.2 assists. While these numbers don't exactly jump off the page, Igoudala's value is much deeper than the stats in the box score.

For years, the veteran has been considered as one of the better perimeter defenders in the league. Additionally, he is well known for being an extremely intelligent basketball player. Warriors head coach Steve Kerr has always raved about Igoudala's basketball IQ and claims he is one of the smartest players he has ever coached.

Iguodala would certainly help the Mavs shore up their defense. It has been well documented that Luka Doncic, for all his scoring ability, is not a good defender quite yet. Iguodala could help hide this fact.

Unfortunately for the Mavs, besides having plenty of competition for the savvy veteran, the Grizzlies are reportedly not interested in acquiring Lee's contract for the Iguodala deal.
