It has been the Luka Doncic show at Oracle Arena on Saturday night. First, the Dallas Mavericks rookie dunks on Golden State Warriors big man Jonas Jerebko. Then, the Mavs phenom falls on a kid in the crowd after a hard drive to the basket.

Thankfully, the kid appeared to be okay.

Luka Doncic is opening up eyes everywhere around the league.

The Slovenian sensation has been taking everyone by surprise this season, averaging 18.8 points, 6.6 rebounds, 4.9 assists, and 1.2 steals over 32.4 minutes per game while shooting 43.4 percent from the floor, 36.2 percent from three-point range, and 76.6 percent from the free-throw line.

Doncic, who came over from Slovenia, was selected by the Atlanta Hawks with the third overall pick in the NBA Draft back in June but was traded to the Mavs for Trae Young and a future pick.

Thus far, Dallas is coming out as the clear winner in that deal.

It would be one thing if Luka Doncic was just putting up numbers, but he has also made the Mavs a respectable team this season.

Expected by most to be a sure-fire lottery team, the Mavs are actually contending for a playoff spot in the Western Conference, owning a record of 15-15 going into Saturday night's game against the Warriors.

Dallas was even 15-11 at one point, but a recent four-game losing skid dropped them back to .500.

After dueling with the Dubs at Oracle Arena on Saturday evening, the Mavs will conclude their brutal four-game road trip with a game against the Portland Trail Blazers on Sunday. They will then get a nice rest before taking on the New Orleans Pelicans at home on Wednesday.
