Megan Anderson has been taking a break from MMA since her release from the UFC. It doesn’t appear like that’s going to change anytime soon for the Australian featherweight.

She last fought in the UFC against Amanda Nunes in March 2021. She quickly lost by submission in the first round and was released from the promotion.

Megan Anderson provided a career update on her Instagram. It appears the former UFC fighter has no plans to fight anytime soon.

“For all those that are asking and continue to ask me daily, I have no plans to fight right now,” Anderson wrote on Instagram. ” I’m not saying that I will never fight again, but at this point in my life, I’m loving everything else I’m doing.

“From gaming and streaming, working as an analyst for ESPN and Invicta, and currently filming my first major feature film, I couldn’t be happier and fighting really isn’t on my mind.”

It seems Megan Anderson has had many projects since being released from the UFC. There’s no rush for her to get back in the cage if there are other things she’s working on.

The former UFC featherweight wanted to make it clear that she wouldn’t be fighting anytime soon. She confirmed that there is currently nothing going on, competition-wise.

“I’m currently not affiliated with any gym, I’m not signed to any promotion right now and haven’t been pursuing a new fight contract,” Anderson continued. “I appreciate the love and interest from everyone hoping to see me in the cage again, but hopefully this answers your questions for now!”
