Conor McGregor has made it clear that he wants to fight Charles Oliveira next for his UFC lightweight title. Michael Bisping unsurprisingly gave his thoughts on the potential matchup.

It seems on paper like a power striker vs grappler matchup for the UFC lightweight crown. Charles Oliveira is very well-rounded though and the fight will not be easy for Conor McGregor.

“Conor’s done a great job being absolutely polarizing, you know,” UFC commentator Michael Bisping said on his YouTube channel. “Polarizing is great, half of them want you to fucking win with passion and the other half want you fucking lose with passion. And when you are a fucking fight guy, that’s the best position to be in. ‘Cos either way people are tuning in to watch you fight. And hey, it’s not impossible. He could come back and knock out Charles Oliveira. Of course, he could. It would be insulting to say otherwise. Of course he could. Do I see it happening? I don’t know. More than likely, not.”

Former two-division UFC champion Conor McGregor fighting Charles Oliveira is extremely unlikely and would be completely unfair to Justin Gaethje. The UFC lightweight division is in a good place in terms of who's fighting for the belt.

It has been agreed that Justin Gaethje fights Charles Oliveira next for the UFC lightweight title. The winner of that fight then faces the winner of Islam Makhachev vs Beneil Dariush.

Conor McGregor gets a lot of respect from Michael Bisping but he does need to get things together. There Irishman needs to have a big 2022 in the UFC.
