The Michigan State Spartans are apparently now a favorite to secure the commitment of four-star running back Anthony Carrie. Michigan State football. Carrie, who is part of the 2024 class, is getting interest from several programs including Michigan State football, which, according to On3 is now expected by its experts to land the running back.

Following expert predictions from On3 Director of Recruiting Chad Simmons and Michigan State recruiting insider Noah Sprunger, the Spartans now hold a narrow lead for Carrie in the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine (RPM).

Carrie is ranked as the No. 21 running back of his class by 247 Sports has already received offers from the likes of the North Carolina Tar Heels, Alabama Crimson Tide, Notre Dame Fighting Irish, Arkansas Razorbacks, Georgie Tech Yellow Jackets,  and Michigan Wolverines among others.

Michigan State football is lagging behind most top programs in the nation in terms of recruiting for 2024. At the moment, the Spartans only have a total of three commitments for that class, with zero five-stars to date. Michigan State football has already secured the commitments of four-star cornerbacks Jaylen Thompson and three-star offensive linemen Andrew Dennis and Logan Bennett. Still without a 2024 commitment from a skill position player on offense, this latest update on Carrie is definitely a welcome one for the Spartans, who are coming off a 5-7 campaign in 2022.

Anthony Carrie is from Tampa Bay and plays high school football for Carrollwood Day. Last year, he rushed for 919 rushing yards and 16 touchdowns on a total of 141 rushing attempts.
