Warner Bros' upcoming Minecraft film with Jason Momoa continues adding to its cast. Jennifer Coolidge (The White Lotus) has been cast in the film.

Deadline is reporting that Coolidge has been cast in the film. The film is currently in production in New Zealand. She joins the likes of Momoa, Emma Myers (Wednesday), and Jack Black (Kung Fu Panda). Danielle Brooks (The Color Purple) and Sebastian Eugene Hansen (Just Mercy) have also been cast.

Jared Hess will direct the upcoming film. Legendary will co-finance the film along with Momoa's company. Other producers include Roy Lee, Jon Berg, Mary Parent, Cale Boyter, Torfi Frans Olafsson, Vu Bui, and the late Jill Messick. Executive producers include  Todd Hallowell, Kayleen Walters, Brian Mendoza, and Jonathan Spaihts.

The upcoming Minecraft film is the first live-action swing at the popular video game. In Deadline's report, they state that the game has sold over 300 million copies and hosts nearly 140 million monthly players.

Jennifer Coolidge is an award-winning actress known for her roles in the American Pie and Legally Blonde series. She has also starred in the likes of Click, A Mighty Wind, Date Movie, and Promising Young Woman. In 2022, she starred alongside Jennifer Lopez in Shotgun Wedding.

Her signature role, however, is in The White Lotus. Coolidge starred in the first two seasons of the HBO hit show as Tanya McQuoid. For this role, Coolidge has won several awards including two Emmys. Coolidge is fresh off of her second Emmy win for the role, winning Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series.
