Former New York Yankees legend Goose Gossage is a baseball purist through and through. To say he's not happy with the changes MLB has adopted over the past few years is an understatement. In a recent interview with USA Today, Gossage didn't hold anything back when delivering his fiery opinion on various topics, including the state of baseball, the Hall of Fame, Rob Manfred, and Yankees' GM Brian Cashman.

Gossage has never been one to shy away from his opinion, but he absolutely blasted Manfred and Cashman during his recent interview. Gossage went as far as to threaten to punch the MLB commissioner, going into detail about the damage he wants to inflict upon Manfred.

“I hate that mother [expletive],’’ Gossage says. “You know how much I hate him? I called [Hall of Fame chairman] Jane Forbes Clark before the induction last year and said, ‘Jane, I don’t know where you stand with this guy, but I may punch Rob Manfred right in the [expletive] nose and spatter his [expletive] nose all over his [expletive] face right in the lobby of your hotel.”

Tell us how you really feel, Goose.

Gossage's fiery rant didn't stop there, however, as he went on to blast both Yankees owner Hal Steinbrenner as well as Cashman. Gossage was less than thrilled with Cashman adopting an analytics-based approach, and suggested he wanted to throw the Yankees' executive into a trash can.

“I was going to pick him up one day in the clubhouse, and throw him head-first in a trash can,” Gossage said. “All you would have seen is his feet. And there’s nothing he could have done about it.”

Gossage played 22 years in MLB, winning the World Series in 1978 with the Yankees. He was a nine-time All-Star and boasts over 300 career saves. He was inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame in 2008, though based on his recent comments, that may be an honor he doesn't think too highly of anymore.
