Ronald Acuna Jr.'s return to action from injury has been the highlight of the season of the Atlanta Braves. However, over the last few days, the slugger has missed several games. Most recently, Acuna was ruled out for the third straight game earlier in the day. It has made more than a few fans worried about their star's health.

Thankfully, Acuna's current injury isn't related to his initial ACL tear. Braves manager Brian Snitker talked about his star's recent injury, saying that it was his groin that was bothering him. (via MLB.com)

“It’s the best news possible….He’s just going to be day to day,” Snitker said. “I don’t know how long it will be. But there’s nothing from the MRI that showed he’s going to be shut down.”

Acuna Jr. has missed the last three games of the Braves this season. That missed time has led fans to wonder whether his injured knee was bothering him. Clearly, though, that isn't the case. Snitker reiterated this by saying:

“I haven’t had any reports about the knee,” Snitker said. “It’s just from all the running and sliding with the groin.”

After a magical 2021 season that saw them capture the World Series, the Braves have started off rather slow. They sit at a measly 16-18 record, behind the New York Mets and the Philadelphia Phillies in the NL East. However, there's still plenty of time for them to get back into form. Acuna Jr will very likely hold the key to their success, as his hitting will be paramount to their success.
