There's always a good reason to collect baseball cards. Whether you love the sport itself, a certain team, or you're thrilled about opening this kind of product, the fact remains that these cards will always be special to those who collect them. Of course, the motivation to do so differs from person to person. But when someone of Mark Zuckerberg's stature chimes in, people will surely listen.

In a video shared by Goldin on Instagram, a clip of Gary Vaynerchuk was seen interviewing Zuckerberg. Right off the bat, the Facebook creator admitted that he was into baseball cards while growing up. It even came to a point that Zuckerberg called baseball a nerd's game because of its mathematical aspect.

Needless to say, this aspect of the hobby perfectly suits the world-famous entrepreneur when one thinks hard about it. The inclusion of different stats, how these numbers play out on the field, and how they affect the value of a specific player all come together to determine a baseball card's value. It isn't hard to imagine young Mark Zuckerberg spending a huge chunk of his time analyzing games and relating them to his baseball card collection.

Along with the video, Goldin posted an interesting possibility that involves Zuckerberg and trading cards. By tagging Topps‘ official handle on IG, the auction company asked if there's a chance the Facebook creator can be featured in next year's Allen Ginter set. While the company hasn't responded yet, the thought of collecting Mark Zuckerberg cards is a welcome development for collectors.

Without a doubt, collecting baseball cards is certainly one of the better ways to spend money these days. With someone like Zuckerberg backing the hobby up, there's no reason not to get a pack or two right away.
