Top prospect Michael Porter Jr. is sure to get picked come draft night. However, he might not see as much action as he's expected.

As reported by L. Jason Smith,  co-host at Jason&John 92.9 FM ESPN, Jonathan Givony of DraftExpress said that there's a possibility that Porter Jr. will be a redshirt in his first NBA season. This means that he'll most likely sit out so he can improve to further develop his skills.

Though these are just rumors, there's a good reason as to why Porter Jr will likely be a redshirt. To recall, he only played three games in college after injuring his back. Right after his first year, already confident in his skills, he signed up for the NBA Draft. While he's been a prospect since high school, several teams may see his lack of experience may be a liability moving forward.

For the past few weeks leading to draft night, Porter Jr.'s stock has risen. It's due to his recent medical results which showed that his back has completely healed. As reported by Tim Reynolds of the Associated Press, Porter Jr. admits that he feels great and confident:

“I’m feeling great. I just feel like in today’s game, there’s guys that can do anything on the floor. And that’s how I kind of view myself.”

“It’s about getting in the right situation. I don’t need to go No. 1. I don’t feel like I have an ego that makes me want to go No. 1. I just want the right situation for me.”
