Villanova junior forward Mikal Bridges will forgo eligibility for his senior season and declare for the upcoming NBA Draft, according to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski.

Fresh off a second championship season with the Wildcats, the All-American is projected to be a lottery pick, having won the Julius Erving award as the nation's top small forward.

With a lanky 6-foot-7 frame, possessing a 7-foot-2 wingspan, Bridges is currently ranked 10th in ESPN's Jonathan Givony latest mock draft.

Bridges is a diverse, multi-positional prospect, which plays right to the new era of the NBA. His ability to defend multiple positions, 3-point shooting, and slashing to the basket are skills scouts are confident will translate well at the NBA level.

“I bring winning to your team,” Bridges told ESPN. “I learned about that at Villanova, what is a winning, championship atmosphere and what you've got to do to achieve it. You have to always be locked in. Two championships in three years — not a lot of people have done that.”

“There's space in the NBA on the floor, and there's this move toward position-less basketball that I fit into,” Bridges added. “I can shoot the ball. I can defend. I can move without the ball. I'm progressing in my game, getting better through work every day.”

Bridges put up 17.7 points on 51 percent shooting from the floor, including a stunning 43.5 percent from deep, while collecting 5.3 rebounds per game for the Wildcats this season.
