The Golden State Warriors and Toronto Raptors faced off in Game 3 of the NBA Finals on Wednesday night. However, it wasn't the players but the referees that took the spotlight early on.

The NBA referees featured heavily in the early portion of the game with an avalanche of foul calls for both teams, including a bevy of missed calls for the Raps and Warriors alike.

In a classic case of “hindsight is 20/20,” the refs actually responded to a rather obvious missed call near the end of the first quarter in which Stephen Curry blatantly palms/carries the ball before hitting an absurd three.

As expected, the Official NBA Referees Twitter account immediately responded to the missed call with a simple (and rather dry) explanation.

Of course, many of the responses revolve around the league being rigged, or the referees being “trash,” or Warriors fans rooting for continued “good” calls on their players.

Hey, at least the refs are willing to admit when they make a mistake (which happens a lot) on the biggest stage that the NBA has to offer.

Who knows how this game will turn out, but that missed did lead directly to a Stephen Curry 3-pointer, so that’s something to monitor as the game winds down.
