Tobias Harris banked on himself and his hard work and rightfully turned down a four-year, $80 million extension the LA Clippers offered in the summer of 2018. He is now in line to potentially receive a five-year deal worth $190 million from the Philadelphia 76ers or a four-year deal spanning north of $140 million from any other team.

Yet little is known of his preference for a landing spot, as he has been coveted by the Brooklyn Nets and even the Utah Jazz before they landed Mike Conley in a trade on Wednesday:

“A great organization,” Harris told Brian Lewis of the New York Post. “Obviously winning’s important for me, style of play was important, and just putting myself in the right opportunity to continue to improve my game and get better year in and year out.

“I know the work that I put in the offseason correlates to the season. So I know what’s going to be expected of me as a player, and just being in the right situation to excel at that.”

The Sixers have a situation on their hands, likely forced to choose between Harris and former All-Star Jimmy Butler as their next cog in free agency, with both players in line for that same max-level five-year deal. Harris, who has bounced from Milwaukee to Orlando to Detroit to Los Angeles and now to Philadelphia in his seven-year career, has no preference when it comes to the city he will land in:

“Location is location,” said Harris. “But at the same time those things [I mentioned] are first for me.”

Harris posted an impressive 20.0 points and 7.9 rebounds per game last season while shooting a whisker under 40% from deep. Regardless of the city, he will be a valued commodity for any franchise looking to add perimeter scoring and a potent scoring punch to their roster.
