NBA commissioner Adam Silver says he doesn't like it when trade demands are made public and would prefer those kinds of things stay behind closed doors.

This season, two stars have requested a trade and both trade requests have been leaked to the public.

Jimmy Butler requested a trade from the Minnesota Timberwolves at the beginning of the season, and Anthony Davis just recently requested one from the New Orleans Pelicans.

The Jimmy Butler trade saga in Minnesota was a mess, and it looks like the same thing is going to happen in New Orleans with Anthony Davis.

Butler was booed at every home game by Timberwolves fans. He sat out a few games for “general soreness” as well. Minnesota finally put an end to the drama when they traded Butler to the Philadelphia 76ers in November.

Anthony Davis is already getting booed at home in New Orleans. Now, the second half of the season is going to be very hard for the Pelicans to manage. Davis reportedly wants to continue to play even though New Orleans isn't going to make the playoffs. The brain trust in The Big Easy wants to sit AD so he doesn't get hurt.

Davis hurt his left shoulder on Thursday against the Oklahoma City Thunder, leaving Pelicans owner Gayle Benson furious.

Unfortunately for Adam Silver and the NBA, these type of things will never stay in-house. Someone is always going to leak something in this day and age.
