Two-time NBA All-Star Baron Davis is weighing in on the 2020 MVP award after Los Angeles Lakers superstar small forward LeBron James admitted he was pissed off for receiving only 16 first-place votes.

For the second-straight season, Milwaukee Bucks swingman Giannis Antetokounmpo took home the MVP trophy. He guided the Bucks to the best record in the NBA during the regular season and led the league in PER.

Baron Davis believes everyone who won the 2020 awards deserved to win. However, the former high-flyer seemingly contradicted himself by saying there needs to be a new voting system.

Year after year, NBA players are always going to be frustrated with the voting system. It's just part of the sport now and likely will remain like that forever.

LeBron James had a great season for the Lakers. However, with all due respect to The King, he didn't have a better campaign than Giannis Antetokounmpo and isn't as valuable to the Lakers as Antetokounmpo is to the Bucks.

If you took James off the Lakers, the team would still have an All-NBA guy in Anthony Davis. Meanwhile, if Giannis wasn't on the Bucks, their best player would be Khris Middleton, who isn't even close to the player that Davis is.

James should channel his inner Michael Jordan and use his MVP snub as motivation to win the 2020 NBA title. In “The Last Dance” docuseries, Jordan admitted losing the 1993 MVP to Charles Barkley and the 1997 MVP to Karl Malone fueled him to defeat Barkley and the Phoenix Suns in the 1993 Finals and Malone and the Utah Jazz in the 1997 Finals.
