NBA legend Charles Barkley is sick and tired of the media focusing on his friendship with Michael Jordan.

Barkley and Jordan were once best friends who played golf together frequently. Now, they have seen each other an estimated three times in the past 25 years. At the time, Michael Jordan won his third consecutive NBA title with the Chicago Bulls. On the other hand, Barkley was playing in the twilight of his NBA career with the Houston Rockets.

Barkley spilled his guts out in a recent podcast with SI Media's Jimmy Traina (via People's Anna Lazarus Caplan). He referred to an argument he had with Jordan regarding the latter's ownership of the Charlotte Hornets. Barkley said he's ready to move on.

“Yes! A hundred percent. A hundred percent! Because you know what, Jimmy, they act like we Prince William and Prince Harry,” Barkley said.

“Like I said, Michael got mad about something. I said we haven't spoken and now two times a year I have to defend…I'm like, ‘Yo, man, Michael's doing great; Charles is doing great.' I wish him nothing but the best,” Barkley continued.

Charles Barkley remembered the last time he and Michael Jordan crossed paths was at the NBA's 75th Anniversary celebration. However, the former said, “We never got within 25 feet of each other.”

Barkley added he and Jordan haven't spoken in the past decade. Barkley admitted their dwindling friendship “was probably the most prominent thing that's happened to me.” Jordan once advised Barkley to invest in Nike stock options. The risk has paid huge dividends over the years. Regrettably, their friendship has deteriorated.

Here's hoping Charles Barkley and Michael Jordan patch things up soon.
